Daniel Borins + Jennifer Marman
Jennifer Marman and Daniel Borins practice sculpture, installation and media art in Toronto. Marman and Borins have shown work both in Canada and internationally. Recently, they had their first museum solo show at the Art Gallery of York University in Toronto. Upcoming projects include a public sculpture commission for Downsview Subway Station received from the Toronto Transit Commission. In the fall of 2007 and winter of 2008 Marman and Borins showed their sculpture The Presence Meter at the National Gallery of Canada, as part of an exhibition entitled Dots, Pulses, and Loops. In the fall of 2008/ winter of 2009, Marman and Borins participated in a group sculpture show at the National Gallery of Canada entitled Caught in the Act: The Viewer as Performer. In the fall of 2009 Marman and Borins will have a solo show at YYZ Gallery in Toronto. Their work is in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada (2008) and they are represented by Georgia Scherman Projects in Toronto.

Brady Cranfield
Brady Cranfield is a Vancouver-based artist, writer and musician. He has had solo exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Gallery and the Western Front. Recently he collaborated with Jamie Hilder to produce the exhibition Island Developments at Artspeak Gallery. Cranfield and Slade: 12 Sun Songs, a concept album made in collaboration with Kathy Slad, is forthcoming from Christoph Keller Editions for JRP|Ringier (Zurich) and the Or Gallery in 2009. Cranfield is a member of several bands and is founding co-director of The Music Appreciation Society.

Anitra Hamilton
Anitra Hamilton is a Toronto/Berlin based artist. Her work has been shown in Toronto and internationally, most recently in a retrospective at the Art Gallery of York University. Her project “Parade” is in the permanent collection of the Albright-Knox Gallery. In 2008 she exhibited two off-site projects at BizArt in Shanghai. Hamilton is the operator of Satchel Gallery, a mobile gallery that takes place in her shoulder bag.

Mike Hansen
Mike Hansen is a Toronto based artist, performer and radio personality and has been involved in the Canadian improvised music scene for over a decade. He has produced recordings and performances with John Butcher, ("Equation" w/ Tomasz Krakowiak, Spool Records, 2003), also other international players such as Kaffe Matthews, Gert-Jan Prins, Aki Onda, William Parker, Michael Snow, John Oswald and various leading Toronto improvisers. Hansen's long standing duo with percussionist Tomasz Krakowiak has resulted in their release on Spool Records, "Relay" and their download release on Frozen Elephant Music, "The Confines of Power". His over twenty years of painting, sculpture and sound explorations have included interactive installations, performances and multi-media experiments utilizing his long time work in sculpture and encaustics. Hansen's work has exhibited extensively across North America and internationally.

Rodrigo Matheus
Rodrigo Matheus lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. He has a B.A. in Multimedia and Intermedia from the Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo. He has exhibited throughout Brazil with recent solo exhibitions at Galeria Fortes Vilaça in São Paulo (2008), Galeria Box 4 in Rio de Janeiro (2006), and Galeria Casa Triângulo in São Paulo (2005). Recent group exhibitions include: Looks Conceptual, or How I Confused Carl Andre with a Pile of Bricks at Galeria Vermelho (2008); The World We Live In, Museu da Imagen e do Som (2008); and Cover, Museu de Arte Moderna (2008) – all in São Paulo. Matheus was the artist-in-residence at the Art Gallery of York University (AGYU) in 2008.

Wagner Morales
Wagner Morales is a filmmaker and a visual artist based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has exhibited extensively in Brazil and in France, Switzerland, London, and Toronto. He has made several auteur films, documentaries, photographs and installations. Morales’ work is shown at the Galerie Virgilio in Sao Paulo and his films and videos, as well as his installations, are exhibited in important institutions in Brazil, France and almost everywhere in the world.

Jeremy Jansen
Born a Calgarian in 1979, at the age of 21 Jeremy Jansen picked up his first camera while living in Vancouver. Currently based in Toronto, Jansen recently completed documenting concerts and journeys across Canada and Europe with bands the Constantines and Ladyhawk. He recently self-published his first book and continues to release photo-based zines and editions sporadically. Currently Jansen is in the process of compiling new works for a second book and continues to involve himself with the Winter Gallery, a backyard exhibition space in Toronto’s Little Portugal.

Andrew J. Paterson
Andrew J. Paterson is an interdisciplinary media artist and writer based in Toronto. He is the co-founder of the YYZ Books publication Money, Value, Art: State Funding, Free Markets, Big Pictures and his writings have been published in FUSE Magazine, Public, MIX, and Lola. His videos and films have been screened nationally and internationally and are distributed by Vtape (Toronto).

Valeska Soares
Valeska Soares is a Brazilian artist who lives and works in New York. She received her MFA from the Pratt Institute (New York) in 1994 and is currently a candidate for Doctor of arts at New York School of Arts and Arts Education. Soares has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions throughout North America, Brazil and Europe.

Weekend Leisure
Weekend Leisure is a karaoke film/video group comprised of four Vancouverites: Erich Gerl, Curtis Grahauer, Christy Nyiri and Pietro Sammarco. Their work combines the aesthetics of overlapping genres of music video, karaoke monitor VJ, cable access television, and fitness instruction. In addition to their video production, Weekend Leisure maintains a weekly karaoke night at Pat’s Pub in Vancouver.
