NEVER ALONE
Artists love music. What we mean to say is, everyone loves music, but artists do especially because they have to spend endless hours all alone in their cold, industrial lofts with nothing but cigarettes and an old hand-wound phonograph to keep them company.
We could say something here about the dialectic of visual and aural creativity, or how the expression of music through art echoes the human condition, but we won't. Simply put, we asked a handful of our favorite artists to show works that were in one way or another inspired by music, and we're pretty happy with the results. We hope you are too.
